This is a reasonably priced item. So, I don't expect it to last very long though my older purchase of this item is working more than a year now. I had to open it from power source and connect it back so that it reboots itself and fix a trouble of turning it on and off from my android phone app but it only happened once in a year so far.

It is a good quality knife, very sharp, so needs to be used very carefully at least initially and then slowly the sharpness becomes little less but stays that way for long. Only one observation I have is, it is very difficult to cut straight vertically, because, the cutting edge is little slanted towards left and the knife automatically goes towards left as you cut.

It is strong and did not leak or tear. This is the first time I bought this product. The product I have been using had a straight join at the bottom but this one has a point join. There is no problem with such a join but I think it results in less volume of garbage for the same size of bag. I don't know if it provides better tear resistance though, may be.
