I didn’t realize this required a special recessed can to connect to. I thought it could plug into the existing light socket (plan was to secure it higher into the ceiling prior to finishing basement). I suppose it would work but I can’t find anything saying it’s allowed. For the price I didn’t bother returning them. I haven’t installed them so I can only comment on the product description. Wish compatible can lights were referenced. It’s hard to rate product without using it.
