Speaker Ceiling Rough In Bracket - Plastic for Speakers with Cutout Diameter 208mm

The "Cab-WP-CLIP-SP6" with a 208mm cutout diameter worked great for my 8" ceiling speakers. I used these for home audio and surround sound rough-ins. Would definitely order again in the future.

These are great rough in speaker brackets at a competitive price. Be careful not to break the tabs too soon after installing as you may want to re-position them after mounting. You'll want to use good wood screws but don't over-tighten as you could go right through the plastic. I used 6x1/2" #1 wood screws from Home Depot. Also keep in mind the cutout diameter under the specifications. The "Cab-WP-CLIP-SP6" (6-1/2") have a 8.19" cutout diameter and are meant for 8" speakers. The "Cab-WP-CLIP-SP8" (8") have a 10.12" cutout diameter and are meant for 10" speakers. Overall, these make installation easier after drywalling. I would have given 5/5 rating but I had to re-order due to ordering the wrong size and the confusion of the specifications. The return process was simple and pre-paid.
