I wanted a secure way to lock my device, but, to be honest the apple macbook air does not have the traditional and standard cut out for a traditional standard laptop locking cable. This device is more of a deterrent than a true lock. The mechanism that "holds" onto the laptop simply slips and slides it's way threading in between the screen and the laptop housing. You then secure the cable to your desk and attach the spindle lock to the laptop. It is very easy to slide the adaptor in place, with or without the lock, hence bypassing the fact that the laptop is supposed to be secured to the cable. So, as I said, it is more of a deterrent, and if you leave your desk passerby's think that your laptop is secure when in fact, it can be slipped off, Two stars because of the discounted 123 inkjet cartridge sale price, 0 stars at retail pricing.

Dear customer ,thanks for your kind reviews on this cable .If you don't like it ,you could contact our customer service to return it within one month warranty from the delivery date .Thank you !

lousy quality. If i could give less than 1 star, I would. The 1st screen I ordered began unpeeling at the edges even though I was sure that I applied it properly (I install screens on a regular basis). The second screen protector, has developed a blister like bubble in between the layers that make up the screen. Don't be tricked by the high price, and the made in Japanese in the description. Get a ZAGG, get an the original and no1 screen protectors (i don't work for Zagg, but understand and appreciate there quality).
