Exactly as described. No assembly at all - just snapping the shelves into the clips to lock them in place. Could not be easier - it is a great buy when you need basic shelving asap and no time to play around with assembly. The shelves are very sturdy and there is a good amount of space between each shelf to be able to store higher items. A bit heavier than expected, but not an issue - actually a benefit in terms of staying in place and no wobbling. Best part is that it folds up and can be stored away quickly and easily. Would be great if offered in even larger size with more, and longer shelves. Very pleased with my purchase!
