VGA & R/L Stereo Audio to HDMI Converter with DC Adapter - Monoprice®

Using this for my Sony 60" 1080p TV as a monitor because it does not have a VGA input. This adapter gives a clear picture at 1280 x 720 but at 1920 x 1080 it's blurry and it's not usable. I've updated my drivers, adjusted the TV settings, and spent time looking on Google for a solution to fixing this but have not found a fix. I believe this adapter is the problem for not scaling to 1080 correctly. If anyone by chance reads this and finds a solution please post a reply here. Thank you
