Mounted it by drilling a hole in my desk. placed some extra wood underneath to support the weight of the monitor thus providing extra desk space underneath the monitor.

The cat likes to sit on the top, but unfortunately the unit is slightly unable, or she is too heavy. but then I did not use the strap to tie to a wall, it sits in front of the window.
