My last housemate had a set of these that we used frequesntly. I've wanted my own set after they moved out, and grabbed them on sale here. They're great, easy to clean and super useful.

Translucent Chair Mat for Hardwood Floor, Rectangle, PVC - Moustache® - 36*48 inch

It does exactly what it says on the box. I found the first day or so there was a strong new plastic chemical smell, but that dissipated pretty fast. My chair moves smoothly on it, but the mat itself doesn't shift. Should have gotten one ages ago!

Site is easy to read and navigate. Not true for many other sites. Lots of other stuff to choose from as well. When I get time, I'll have a good look. Thanks!
