Dear Customer, Thank you very much for your review. Please note it is necessary to reset the drum counter when installing a new drum. Please follow the instructions below : Universal Brother Drum Unit Reset Instruction Description: The following error messages will continue to appear if the drum counter was not reset when you replace the drum unit with a new one. Replace Drum Drum End Soon Drum Near End Drum Stop To clear these error messages, you need to reset the drum counter as instructed below. Solution: Please be careful that this is a universal Brother Drum reset instruction, for some particular printer models, if it does not work, please refer to the User’s Guide or search a solution online. The following steps will need to be performed to manually reset the Drum life. DCP/MFC Series 1. Make sure that the machine is turned on. 2. Open the front cover. 3. Press and hold “Clear/Back” button until you see: “Replace Drum?” For some printer models, press “OK” or “Options” button. 4. Press the “Up arrow” key or “1” to reset the drum counter. 5. When the LCD shows Accepted, close the front cover. HL Series 1. Make sure that the machine is turned on. 2. Open the front cover. 3. Press and hold the "Go" button for until all the LEDs light up. 4. Once all the LEDs are lit, release the "Go" button. 5. Close the front cover. The counter is reset.
