Produces clear text/images, though the 12K page estimate is a bit exaggerated in my experience...perhaps with text only. In my case, with mixed content, it's roughly 5K pages at which point text is a little faded but images are very degraded. However, it's a great value for my use as compared to the original.

I have bought two of these so far and this is the second that produced streaks and other artifacts prior to running out of toner (this time I had 70% left) but it is beyond the 2 year warranty period. Next time, I'm going to save my money and buy the Q6511A instead. (My previous review was based upon the hope that the first one I had problems with was just a fluke.)

Compatible HP 11X Q6511X Black Toner Cartridge High Yield that I purchased from 123ink.ca is perfect. It's much cheaper than the OEM product and works fine. A lot of people have a fear of using a compatible cartridge and for a newer printer, still under warranty, I would agree, but at this point in the printer's life, I feel this compatible cartridge is fine and totally safe. Give it a try.

Very satisfied, I plan on re-ordering. So far they have worked well for me and my HPLaserJet2420dn printer has had no problem 'recognizing' these toner cartridges (unlike many inkjet printers for remanufactured cartridges). Yield: at least 8,000 pages (depending on what you print). Why pay more when you can pay less!
