Plugged it into a Dell 13-inch 2-in-1 notebook which comes without RJ45 port. Worked without any input on my part, Windows 10 Pro recognized it immediately, made the Ethernet settings available in Setup, and turned off WiFi. Handy little gadget to have around for setting up and configuring computers that come without network port. I have no experience with other operating systems, but it works just fine under Win10Pro.
