Bought a new laptop to replace my aging Win 10 desktop . As it's likely the laptop will never leave the house and the wiring is in place , I wanted an ethernet connection for it as it doesn't have one . This was the perfect solution . Very pleased , great value and flexibility

Have this on a MacBook Air and the HDMI out is fine, but if you do not have power pass-through the adapter might power off - so good to have a power passthrough port available on it.
