Don't be like me and not read the reviews. "Universal" is not the case here. I've worked with rack tray's for years; I've never seen one that mounts like this. I would return and order the correct item, but their use of Canpar/Loomis has turned me off of ordering from this website forever. Not much point in ordering if I can never receive the products.

I wish I had read the other reviews here before buying. Just like most others are saying, this product is NOT "universal". Do not buy unless you know exactly where to use it (I presume for some wire mesh or 1U racks or if you have a spare set of rack ears laying around, per the limited positive comments here?)... I bought two unfortunately, and they don't fit in the Open Frame Server Rack I also bought from this site

Don't buy at all. I don't know for what kind of rack you can use them but I have a 42u at home and I bought a 6u and the 8u on this site and it don't work at all. You can't secure them at all. I have to put tap metal screw or will drill a hole and put a nut and hex screw

A bit disappointed it is too shallow to be used in the wall mount rack cabinet I purchased from PrimeCables. It will work if I move the front mounts further back, but that limits the overall available depth for everything in the cabinet.

Universal in the sense that this will universally be incompatible with most racks. It has no mounting ears in the front and the only conceivable way to mount this in a rack would be if your rack has middle rails. As it is, it makes a decent floor for my rack I guess. Pretty disappointed though.
