Steel pin bristles clears a bit of loose fur, but not as much as other brushes. It is very gentle though and doesn’t make my dog pull away while being brushed.

Both cats love it, it's good and removes hair properly from a long haired cat and is enjoyable for my short haired cat as well. The only problem I did notice is that some of the metal bristles were quite loose but for the price I do still consider it a good brush.
