I bought that cutter in November 2018. Now end of January 2019: Had the time to try it several times. This thing is perfect for my need. Cuts very well, very easy to use. Yes there is some loss but try cutting a pineapple without any loss..it's impossible. Glad I bought it. Try to buy a straight pineapple. There will be less loss.

Makes the pineapple-prep job so much easier (and maybe even fun?) Plus at the end you have a pineapple bowl left over. Good times.

I was concerned about waste after reading a review. However there is little waste in a medium size pineapple and with a bit of effort more pineapple is recovered in larger fruit. I am very pleased with this product.

High quality and have used many times already. Take the plastic part off and dish wash the stainless steel. If your pineapple is fatter than the core tool, after I'm doing coring it I cut the remains in half, then carve them out with a paring knife leading to no waste!
