I gave up using traditional fabric softeners about 1-1/2 years ago. I started using 'wool lanolin' balls for items that went into the dryer and nothing for the items that I air dry. After several months, I started noticing that the fibers in my clothes, while not staticky, did start to become stiffer, scratchier and more uncomfortable to wear. Not wanting to return to 'traditional' softeners, I started researching other alternatives and eventually found this 'La Parisienne' biodegradable fabric softener. I decided to give it a try and, one month later, I am happy to report that my clothes - both those items which go into the drier and those which I still air dry - feel much softer and more comfortable against my skin. Also, the fragrance of this product is very natural and delicate (a touch of coconut??) versus the what I now find overpowering fragrances of traditional softeners. The only thing which stops me from giving it a 5 leaf rating instead of a 4 leaf rating is that I do find a little bit of static still remains.... But, definitely not enough to stop me from continuing to use this product - as long as it remains completely biodegradable.
