I got this rack to sit in the existing network equipment shelving unit. My constraints were that it would be tall enough to accommodate 2U for router & switch, while not being too deep or too tall. I also needed room above and below to pass wires, and ideally a hole in behind to thread the cables. This checks all the boxes. As it was adjustable, I could set it to just the right depth. As others have reported, it's a nice quality steel, quite thick. Easy to put together when you're equipped and mildly experienced.

This is a very nice equipment rack. The finish is nice, and it’s sturdy. Love the adjustable depth design. It didn’t come with assembly instructions, but it’s pretty simple. One of the sides where you mount the equipment is hinged, not sure I like that, don’t really see the point. The only complaint I have is the cage nuts and screws, they are bright plated instead of black, and require a tamper proof torx driver, which it does come with but if you lose it, not everyone has those.

Rack itself is excellent. Well made and sturdy. Adjustable length is great. The hinged side it isn't much use for gear longer than a few inches as it won't swing open. Makes it annoying mounting the first item, but non issue after that. Only complaint is it comes with just 10 cage/nuts which isn't enough to mount 4 1u pieces of equipment. Silver finish on them doesn't match the rack if we're getting really picky.
