Detected as r8152 in Linux without needing any extra kernel modules. Speed test on the LAN shows it will consistently pull down 24 megabytes/sec on a gigabit link. Straightforward plug and play.

This item does not work with Nintendo Switch. I will have to find another use for it. Only 3 stars because I bought it for my switch and am now buying a different one due to the chipset.

Very easy to use and it is very small, wish it had some sort of led light on it to make look like it is actually working.
