i love this thing. i was using a crappy one off amazon that only elevated my laptop a few inches, so i had to stack this on a bunch of large hardcover books. it’s really solid as a laptop stand. i use an external keyboard so this is perfect for my desk work. i wouldn’t type directly on it long term as it may not be the most stable to support body weight leaning on it.

So good I had to get a second one! Also great for bringing large books up to eye level, e.g. D&D handbooks :)

Very firm tension, takes a decent amount of force to adjust. Not a bad thing, though, as this means it stays in place very well.

This is a very sturdy / stable laptop stand. Adjusting the angles for positioning the laptop takes some force which means it will hold its position very safely. In practise it rarely gets re-adjusted.

The stand is sturdy and ergonomically great as it can adjusted to desired position. I wish the ventilation vent is of netted deign as it do not properly align with my laptop vents. Overall build quality is good.Recommended

I purchased this holder to help me sit less and stand more while WFH. I work at my kitchen island and I now hopefully spend less time looking down. I am only 5 ft, so it might not be as helpful for a taller person. As others have mentioned, it's hard to adjust, but that's likely the trade-off of it holding its position; I haven't had to readjust it since setting it up.
