I got this toner cartridge a bit skeptical whether it would work or if I would be able to fix the chip from my finished toner cartridge to this oem no chip cartridge. But there was nothing to worry about, the chip removal tool and picture manual instructions in the box was very helpful. Removal was easy and installation was seamless too.if you are still confused, check Youtube for more details. The only downside is that your hp printer will still be indicating the low ink signal. I guess it's becos it not HP original toner cartridge. But it's fine. I will see how long the toner lasts.

Salvaging the chip with the included tools from the original cartridge and snapping it in place in the the new cartridge took less than 5 minutes. So far printer works fine. The blinking "out of toner" light must be ignored. I will soon order another replacement to have one on hand if the current one runs out of toner. Since the chip just snaps into the cartridge -no glue involved- it should be easy to transfer and reused for a few more replacements.

It did not work for me, despite following instructions and ensuring the chip stays in place. I would not suggest buying a no-chip toner cartridge. I learned my lesson. Wasted one hour and now shopper+ customer service is giving me a hard time returning the item, and still would not send a prepaid label to me.

I damaged the original HP chip with the supplied extractor and now the cartridge is unusable and I have to buy an OEM cartridge from HP. Purchase to avoid because the cartridge is not refundable if you have a problem and the cartridge is not defective.
