When it said "thick" in the description I was expecting it to be thicker like some of the more industrial ones. It is thick enough to stay stable and not move around on the back deck. The pile is deep and firm enough to work well to clean the bottoms of ones shoes from light debris and it is heavy enough to not slide around while rubbing shoes on it. I expect it to be a good outdoor amt for me.

This entrance mat is thick and provided a great non skid bottom for my basement floor which is tiled and tended to be slippery with other mats.

Great doormat! It’s thick, doesn’t slip around, and does a good job trapping dirt. Definitely a practical buy!

These fit perfectly in front of both my front and back doors which are extra wide. They stay put and do not slip and slide around. They really do capture the dirt (leaves and such) off the shoes as you enter the house. LOVE these entrance mats.
