My copies of these fans did indeed work (unlike a couple other reviewers'). However the actual airflow is insignificant even at maximum speed, to the point where I suspect the cooling impact is negligible. Also, the fans use a non-standard pinout (which integrates power, speed control, and RGB) so they can only be used with the included controller. They cannot be powered, controlled or lit directly from a motherboard. My use case is to boost the perceived aesthetics of cheap computers that don't really need case fans for cooling (and do not have ARGB headers anyway), so from that standpoint the value for money here is solid.

I decided to take a chance even after reading the (not-so-great) comments saying that they don't work. I was initially happy when I saw the lights turn on (pictures attached). I then realized the comments were right, the fans do not spin, only the lights turn on. For $4 it might be worth the chance to see if they work for you, or if you want to add aesthetic RGB to your build, but wouldn't recommend them if you want something reliable or functional.

Will not work whatsoever. I connected the hub to the same power port as another fan that works and does nothing. Controller works and all but fans just won’t turn on. As a kid the 40$ I just wasted is a lot. Now my ox can’t be used till I get new fans.
