For the price, you can't ask for more. Comparable at easily $400 in most retail stores. The metal is a little lighter duty than our older one. And the lights are a cool white, but this is okay for a kitchen area. Not sure how to replace them when they eventually fail. Will be ordering the charcoal filters from elsewhere as I couldn't find them on here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am concerned that I have not found a replacement bulb for this appliance anywhere on the internet. Even the Hong Kong company CIARRA does not sell these bulbs. I was surprised to see that the exhaust outlet of this hood is at least 4 times smaller than the outlet of the hood I removed. This is certainly not an advantage. In addition, there is no flap for the horizontal air outlet and it is impossible to use the flap of the appliance I removed because it is 4 times larger. Another problem, the hood I removed was 6 inches thick, an American standard, while the CIARRA hood is only 4 inches thick. Is this an Asian standard?

It works well and came as described, it was lighter than I expected, which makes it easier to put up but there is a fair bit of flex, structurally. Just don't expect it to be load bearing and maybe don't drop it before installing. Also make sure the cabinet you are fastening it to is level and sturdy, because the hood will warp and wave to the imperfections under the cabinet.
