I have installed about 20 of these for lobby music in apartments. We used an MP3 player for music source, and a good quality speaker. The sound is great and it is simple to use for the customer to adjust volume. It has no tone control, but for this purpose it does not matter. If there is only one speaker in the lobby i used the Left channel since it is the base sound, which is richer sounding.

Bought 20 of them to install in lobby areas. Just tested them on the bench first with a good quality ceiling speaker and a tuner and it sounded great. good tone quality and plenty of volume before distortion.

Very good quality, heavy gauge metal, reasonably priced. The only criticism i have, which is minor and a personal preference, is that the screws provided for mounting switches, patch panels, etc., are security screws. They do come with a wrench for them, but it would be handier if it was just a regular screw that you could use a screwdriver with.
