I'm using this for knitting. For example: Many sock yarns are 1 pair per ball, so I need to know when I've used half the ball to end the first sock. The 'on' button is already showing wear, but a little scotch tape will fix that. (Many scales actually sold for yarn only display to a tenth of a gram- this one goes to the hundredth!) Using it for food, not so good. Trying to bust up 10 pound boxes into one pound packages? It goes overload. (Just a case of pay attention to product description- it says max 200g)

This scale is small and quite accurate, great to carry around and easy to use. Just let it warm up when it has been exposed to cold weather. I received it ahead of schedule but was not pleased when I discovered that the batteries had leaked. Since they were wrapped beside the scale it did not cause any damage. They are the regular 1.5v AAA batteries even if the label on the box calls for 2 X 3.0v AAA type batteries.

Clever little device, well worth the money. It can be calibrated, so use a Canadian nickle (3.95 g), just make sure that the coin is newish and clean. The instructions are not the best, they could be more comprehensive, but even so do not take away from the 5 star quality of this little device. Ed Roberts
