Our first portable induction cooktop. Was a bit concerned about the other reviews about the loud fan. It's quite loud. Put it in the middle of the living room while cooking hotpot and watching a movie with the family and the fan isn't too bad provided we are watching an action movie. Still it's a very versatile cooktop.

I like the product for it's low power consumption and fast heating. Can use any magnetic and all cast iron utensils. Small and portable for use on camping and trailer. A small fan at the bottom cools the coil/ electronics.

The designer of this product should be happy that user cannot give it a zero rating here. I did not realized that automatic cooling is a 'fancy' idea when I bought it. As stated in product description, the cooktop 'directly heating the metal in pans, there is no heat loss', so the glass top should not be so hot that it needs a fan 'helps keep glass top cool'. Though the cooling fan is useless, it is really 'oversized'. It runs all the time when cooking and the noise could be heard by my neighbor if I leave the window open.
